A Swiss 18K gold lady’s keyless Art Nouveau pendant watch with repoussé decoration, circa 1900. The band and part of the bezel and back florally chased, fully chiselled back with a coquettish lady. Hinged cuvette engraved R. Carassale, Montevideo. White enamel dial with painted blue Arabic numerals, outer gilt dot minute, pyramidal silver five-minute divisions, sunk subsidiary dial with blue Arabic ten-minute track and gold Louis hands. A frosted gilt movement, 18 jewels, four in screwed gold chaton, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring. Dial, case and movement signed.
