A Swiss 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch, circa 1900. This watch has a mechanical cylinder movement. The white enamel dial displays black Roman numeral hour markers, an outer minute track with Arabic numerals at five minute intervals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and gilt Louis XV style hands. The round 18 carat gold case features a hinged back exquisitely engraved with an elaborate floral and foliate scroll motif. The watch is equipped with a pendant winding mechanism, a fluted crown, and a push button for time setting. It includes a matching 18 carat gold inner cuvette and is accompanied by an 18 carat gold watch chain ( 11.9 gr.) with a spring ring clasp.
