A Swiss 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch, circa 1900. It has a hand wound mechanical movement with cylinder escapement, protected by an inner gold cuvette. The white enamel dial shows black Roman numeral hour markers, an outer minute track with Arabic numerals at five minute intervals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and steel hands. The round 18 carat gold case has a hinged back decorated with a central unengraved cartouche within a floral frame, set against an engine turned background.
