Gold key wind pocket watch

A Swiss 18 carat yellow gold open faced key wind pocket watch, made by Patek Philippe & Co in Geneva, circa 1900. This watch has a hand wound mechanical movement with lever escapement. The white enamel dial shows Breguet style numerals for the hours, an outer minute track, a small seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and pear shaped hands. The round gold case features a smooth bezel, an oval bow for a chain, a fluted crown, and a double officer’s back. The case is marked with the Calatrava cross and is numbered. The dial, case, and movement are all signed by Patek Philippe.
