A Swiss 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch with matching chain, circa 1900. It has a hand wound mechanical movement with a lever escapement. The white enamel dial features black Roman numerals for the hours, an outer railway minute track, gilt Louis XV style hands, and a subsidiary seconds dial at the 6 o’clock position. The 18 carat yellow gold case back is elaborately decorated with a chased and engraved floral motif. The watch comes with a matching 18 carat yellow gold chain, featuring alternating cylindrical bars with engraved foliate patterns and circular links, fitted with a spring ring fastener and a swivel clasp. The original retailer’s box from H. Clément, Paris, is included.
