A Swiss 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch with matching double link chain, circa 1900. It has a hand wound mechanical movement with lever escapement. The white enamel dial features bold black Roman numerals for the primary hours (I–XII), an inner ring of red Arabic numerals for the 24 hour scale (13–24), a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and gilt pear shaped hands. The round 18 carat yellow gold case is numbered and has a fluted crown with a circular bow at 12 o’clock. The watch comes with a substantial 18 carat yellow gold double link chain weighing 26.86 g, fitted with a swivel clasp and spring ring fastener.
