A Swiss 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch, circa 1900. It has a mechanical crown winding movement with a lever escapement. The watch features a frosted, gilded, bridge style layout with exposed winding wheels and red jewel bearings. The white enamel dial has stylized black Arabic numerals for the hours, a fine outer minute track with Arabic five minute numerals from 5 to 60, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and gilded Louis XV style hands. The timepiece is housed in a round three body, 18 carat solid yellow gold open faced case with a plain, polished reverse back cover. It is complete with a fluted winding crown, a sturdy round suspension bow, and a solid 18 carat gold inner protective cuvette.
