A fine Swiss 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch, circa 1900. It has a high quality mechanical crown winding movement with a lever escapement. The white enamel dial features black Arabic numerals for the hours, an outer minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and sleek gold toned spade hands. The timepiece is housed in an 18 carat solid yellow gold open faced case. The reverse back cover is decorated with detailed hand engraved floral and foliage patterns surrounding a vacant shield cartouche. The case includes a fluted winding crown and a suspension bow. The watch comes in its original dark green velvet fitted presentation case.
