A Swiss 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch (Made probably by Ancre) , circa 1900. This watch has a mechanical manual winding movement with a lever escapement, operated by a fluted crown at the top. The white enamel dial shows black Roman numerals for the hours, an outer railway minute track with Arabic numerals at five minute intervals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and filigree hands. The round 18 carat gold case is smooth and polished with a simple gold inner cuvette.
