Brass Lever Chronometer in a rosewood box

A fine English, 7 day going, rosewood, marine chronometer with power reserve indication, circa 1835. Three tier box with flush brass handles, glazed middle section with a vacant ivory plaque and hinged lid. Gimballed brass bowl. Silvered dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, large subsidiary seconds and power reserve indication. Brass spade hands. Brass half plate movement, relieved for the escapement, with cylindrical pillars secured by screws, reverse fusee with maintaining power, Earnshaw type spring detent escapement mounted within two plates, jewelled locking stone, two armed bi metallic compensation balance with two cylindrical weights and timing screws, diamond end stone, free sprung blued steel helical balance spring.
