A Swiss chromium plated metal chronometer for the Finnish market, made by Zenith in Le Locle, circa 1935. An open faced, keyless, 48 hour power reserve, precision counter clock with screwed bezel, mounted in a wood and aluminium rectangular shaped display base, with stop seconds feature for exact setting on the reverse. Model: Oikea Aika.
A silvered dial, indexes, subsidiary seconds at 6 and one horological complication: 48 hour power reserve indication, sector at 3 o’clock. A gilded brass movement, going barrel, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensated balance with gold poising screws and blued steel hairspring with terminal curve, polished steel index-regulator with precision regulating device for fast/slow. Signature on the dial, case and movement.
