A Swiss gold hunting cased keyless lever minute repeating perpetual calendar chronograph watch with moon phases, circa 1900. Damascened nickel movement, signed Girard-Perregaux, with lever escapement, jewelled to the centre, bimetallic compensation balance, and two polished steel hammers repeating on coiled gongs. Restored white enamel dial with Arabic numerals, four sunken subsidiary dials for days and months combined with leap year cycle, date, and seconds with an aperture for moon phases, and twin outer tracks for minutes and chronograph seconds with Arabic numerals. 18 carat gold case with polished covers, scooped bezels, a repeating slide, and chronograph button to the band, plain polished gold cuvette, further inner glazed cuvette, covers signed Girard-Perregaux, back cover and cuvette numbered 304614, and front cover numbered 14.

Movement is not running despite the watch being fully wound. The balance seems sticky, likely due to aged oil. The repeating mechanism is operational, sounding loud and clear, and is synchronised with the hands. Calendar adjusters beneath the bezel for day, date (in tandem), single days, and moon phases all appear to function correctly; however, the top right adjuster is currently nonoperational. The chronograph is not running, but the pusher on the band engages as expected. The dial has been restored with soft enamel, though faint cracks beneath the surface are visible under raking light. The case shows signs of polishing.

Girard-Perregaux SA is a luxury Swiss watch manufacturer with its origins dating back to 1791. In 2022, the management of Girard-Perregaux completed a management buyout from the French luxury group Kering. Headquartered in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, the company opened the Girard-Perregaux Museum near its headquarters in Villa Marguerite in 1999. It is best known for the historic tourbillon with three gold bridges, which was awarded a gold medal at the 1889 International Exposition in Paris soon after the launch of the watch. Other notable models from the company include the collection 1966, Vintage 1945 and models such as the Tri-Axial tourbillon and Laureato, an icon inspired by the 70s.
