–
A Swiss yellow gold keyless watch with an enamel dial and case back engraved with a horse in black enamel, circa 1857. The watch features a gilded mechanical jewelled movement, cal 16”’, with a cylinder escapement, monometallic balance, and blued steel flat hairspring. Its enamel dial displays Roman radial hours, an outer minute track, and Breguet hands. The watch case is made of 18k yellow gold with a hinged back and cuvette, and the guilloche back case features an engraved horse in black enamel. Both the case and movement bear the signature of Patek Philippe. The Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirms its production with enamel dial in 1857 and its subsequent sale on February 20, 1869.
