Aluminium split second chronograph with lever escapement

An extremely rare pocket watch with 1/10 second Chronograph Rattrapante (split second chronograph), made by Heuer in la Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, circa 1970. The open faced plain case of this watch is made from blackened aluminium and the black and white dial has a red 1/10 second scale with a red pointer, white Arabic numerals for the hours with black and white hands, a subsidiary dial at six o’clock for the seconds and a minute counting dial at twelve o’clock. The movement has an extremely fine precision calibre with a split second function, a lever escapement and a high-speed oscillator.
Dial and movement are signed.
