A fine and rare Swiss gilt metal pocket watch with concealed polychrome enamel erotic scene and matching chatelaine, circa 1810. Polished consular case, reeded band. Small eccentric white enamel dial with Arabic hours and outer minute track, hinged gilt cover with a round-shaped aperture for the time indication, embossed with three cupids at the altar of love, opening to reveal the erotic scene of a priest and a lady in an interior, blued steel Scottie’s hands. A matte gilt full plate movement, pentagonal baluster pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, three-arm brass balance, flat balance spring, continental balance cock with polished steel endplate, silver regulation dial.
