A very fine Swiss 18K yellow gold hunting cased pocket watch, circa 1900. Keyless, astronomic watch with perpetual calendar, moon phases and lunar calendar made by B. Poitevin. A solid, polished bassine, the hinged and sprung front cover with engraved foliate monogram. Gold hinged cuvette. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and Arabic five minute numerals, subsidiary dials for the days of the week, the months of the leap year cycle, the date and the seconds, aperture for the moon phase with lunar calendar. Gold spade hands. A Nickel movement with Geneva striping decoration, 18 jewels, counterpoised straight line calibrated lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Cuvette signed.
