A heavy, hunting-cased Swiss pocket watch with rare minute repeater carillon movement, circa 1900.
Polished 18-carat pink gold, à goutte hunting case. Bridge movement with carillon, three hammers / three gongs, lever escapement, screwed golden chatons and repeating of hours, quarters and minutes. White enamel dial with Roman hours, outer minute track, subsidiary Arabic seconds and solid spade steel hands.

When the repeater mechanism of the watch is released, it uses different tones for each signal hour, quarter hour and minute. It also uses a three-tone chime for the quarter hours, which gives the chimes a sweet musical sound and distinguished this watch from other repeaters.
