An elegant Swiss Louis XV-style, 18 carat gold and painted-on enamel keyless lady’s pendant watch with a 14 carat gold and enamel long chain, circa 1900. The bezel with engraved repeated decoration, the back is decorated with a romantic painted-enamel scene of a courting couple in a landscape in the 18th-century style, and the outer border is decorated to match the bezel. White enamel dial, radial Roman numerals and gold star dots, outer minute track, Arabic five-minute numerals and yellow gold Louis XV hands. Rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, ten jewels, cylinder escapement, plain three-arm gold balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Case and movement numbered.
