Gold hunting cased lever pocket watch

A fine Swiss, 18K pink gold and champleve enamel, hunting cased double-dial keyless pocket watch with day and date indications, circa 1900. A polished case, hinged and sprung front cover with red and blue champleve guilloche enamel monogram V & A, back cover opening to reveal the calendar. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and Arabic five-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds. Calendar dial: white enamel, annular, outer date ring and inner ring for the days of the week and gold spade hands. Movement with Geneva striping decoration, 18 jewels, two in screwed gold châtons, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance, index regulator, the calendar star-wheels geared to the centre wheel.
