A fine, small Swiss, 18K gold and painted on enamel  Garden love, pearl-set, keyless pocket watch, circa 1900. Hunting cased, minute repeating pocket watch, made for the Chinese market. Geometric case with enamelled band, the front cover decorated with the portrait of a lady, blue enamel border, the back painted with a scene of a courting couple in a rural landscape, blue enamel border, split pearl-set bezels and signed gold cuvette.
White enamel dial, radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds, Blued spade hands. Frosted gilt movement, 23 jewels, calibrated straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide in the band.
