–
A fine Swiss 18 carat rose gold open faced pocket watch with minute repeating and full calendar complications, circa 1900. It has a mechanical crown winding, nickel plated movement with a decorative finish, a lever escapement, a compensation balance, and a minute repeater mechanism striking on gongs, activated by a slide on the band. The white enamel dial shows black Roman numerals for the hours, an outer railway minute track with Arabic five minute numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, subsidiary dials for the day of the week at 9 o’clock and date at 3 o’clock, an aperture for the month display at 12 o’clock, and gold pear shaped hands.
–
The timepiece is housed in a smooth polished round three body, 18 carat solid rose gold open faced lepine case featuring an engraved monogram on the back cover, a fluted winding crown, a sturdy round suspension bow, and a gold inner cuvette bearing the retail signature Chronomètre Haute Précision Répétition à Minutes Quartiers Redier 159 Boul Sebastopol Paris.
