Gold, enamel and diamond-set lady’s watch

A fine Swiss, 18K gold and enamel, diamond-set, eight-day going, keyless fob watch with Paul Perret special compensation balance, circa 1900. Made for the Indian market. The bezels and band chased with foliate decoration, the back decorated with a fine diamond inlaid grey and red translucent enamelled rosette. White enamel dial eccentric with Roman numerals, outer gilt floral decoration and visible balance. Blued steel spade hands. A gilt brass movement, inverted Hebdomas patented calibre with extra-large barrel on the back, straight-line lever escapement, Paul Perret bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring.
