Gold hunting cased repeating lever watch with multiple complications
–
A Swiss 18 carat yellow gold minute repeating full hunter pocket watch with triple calendar, moon phases, and chronograph, early 20th century. This watch has a hand wound mechanical movement with a spiral balance, a lever escapement, an advance/delay setting rack, and a two hammer gong chime with a flywheel brake system for the minute repeater. Two push buttons on the pendant activate the chronograph and minute repeater chime. Correctors on the bezel adjust the date. The white enamel dial shows Arabic numerals for hours and minutes, a minute track, a central chronograph hand, a small seconds hand with moon phase aperture, two date windows for day, week, and month, a subsidiary dial for the date, an external graduation for 1/5th of a second, and spade hands.
–
The round 18 carat yellow gold case is smooth, with a hinged hunter case back. The gold cuvette bears medals from the 1896 Swiss National Exhibition in Geneva and technical indications.
