Gold, enamel and diamond-set repeating half hunter 
–
A very fine and extremely rare Swiss 18 carat gold, enamel and diamond-set half-hunting cased minute repeating chronograph with calendar and moon phases made for the Indian market, circa 1900. Gilt frosted 1/2 plate movement, finely grounded and bevelled steel chronograph parts, ratchet wheel, two hammers/two gongs, governor for repetition, gold screw compensation balance. Gold dome. White enamel dial, radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds, aperture for the days and months, subsidiary dial for indication of the date, cobalt blue enamelled moon phase disc with inlaid golden moon and stars, blued spade hands. Polychrome enamel case, the front and back with borders of translucent green and cobalt blue enamelling, rosebuds on an engine-turned ground, on the front central Arabic gold numerals on an engine-turned pink ground, set with diamonds, the hinged back with central oval enamel miniature painting Après le bain by Paul Louis Bouchard, 1889, framed by diamonds, chronograph pusher at 12, slide for repeating mechanism. Dial signed.
