–
A fine and rare, gold keyless-winding minute repeating lever chronograph watch with minute recorder, from Geneva, circa 1900.
Gilded brass movement, going barrel, straight-line equilibrated lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensated balance with gold and platinum poising screws and blued steel hairspring with a terminal curve, index regulator with swan-neck spring and micrometric screw. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minutes/seconds track, subsidiary dial for the seconds at 6, original pear hands, and three horological complications: – Minute-repeater on two steel gongs (activated by the slide at 4 o’clock); – 1/5 second chronograph (activated by the single round push-piece located on the winding-crown); – Instantaneous 30-minute recorder. Round-shaped 18K yellow gold polished case with Geneva Quality Hall Mark and chronograph work on the top plate.
