Gold hunting cased pocket watch by Louis Grisel

A very heavy and fine Swiss pocket watch chronometer, circa 1900.
Engine turned 14 carat gold “à goutte” case with 3 solid gold lids and additional glazed movement; dome signed and numbered, inscribed: “CHRONOMETRE-SPIRAL CYLINDRIQUE”. Very fine chronometer movement with pivoted detent escapement and helical hairspring, screwed gold chatons, fine adjusting device and very big chronometer balance. White enamel dial with Roman hours, sunk subsidiary dial with Arabic seconds and spade hands. Case, movement and dial signed.
