An exquisite Swiss hunting cased pocket watch in a niello-gold case with a rare original horn box, circa 1900.
14 Carat rose gold case, outside front and back case covers with identical niello engraving (conch blowers sitting around a lidded vase, flowers and scrolls), decorated band, and numbered and signed gold dome. Signed, enamel dial with radial Roman hours and Arabic minutes, auxiliary seconds, and blued spade hands. German silver, stripe-decorated, bridge movement with 17 jewels, gold screw compensation balance, blued balance spring, and a counterpoised lever.
