A Swiss large, heavy deck chronometer of the American and later British Navy with wooden box, circa 1920.
Nickel polished case with military engraving: “US NAVY No 2340 / H.S. 2 – broad arrow”. Enamel dial with Arabic “Empire” numerals, auxiliary seconds and blued Breguet hands. Bridge movement, nickel-plated, with stripe-decorated, 4 adj., 17 jewels and large screw compensation balance.
