Silver open faced keyless lever

An English silver open faced keyless winding center seconds chronograph, circa 1892. Polished case back with a central escutcheon and ribbed band, the center seconds and stoppable seconds activated by a push piece located at 2 o’clock. The case is stamped L.J., probably for Louis Jacot in Birmingham, a Swiss watch agent registered in October 1885, and with a Birmingham date letter for 1892. Off white enamel dial with radial Roman hour numerals, outer minute divisions, a concentric fifth of a second track calibrated from 0-300 and gilded metal spade hands. A gilt brass ¾ plate movement, fusee and chain, lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensated balance, blued steel flat hairspring and polished steel index regulator.
