A fine Swiss yellow gold minute repeating open faced watch, made in 1917.
Retailed by Tiffany & Co. Nickel lever Extra movement, 31 jewels, center jewel carried in a gold chaton, bimetallic balance, repeating via two hammers on two gongs. Gilt dial, painted Breguet numerals, blued steel spade hands, subsidiary seconds, outer minute track, 18k gold case, monogram to the back, cuvette with dedication engraving, slide to activate the minute repeater at 3 o’clock, dial signed by retailer, case and movement signed by maker and retailer.
