Silver deck chronometer watch

A very fine, silver and gold Russian deck chronometer with power reserve indication, in the original mahogany fitted box, circa 1878. Movement made by Kullberg, the case hallmarked London 1878-79. Polished with gold hinges. Spring-suspended seat with Russian Imperial eagle applied at the top. White enamel dial, bold radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds, up-and-down indicator at 12 o’clock. Blued steel spade hands.
Frosted gilt full plate movement, 17 jewels, ringed cylindrical pillars, fusée and chain, Harrison’s maintaining power, Earnshaw-type spring detent chronometer escapement, jeweled locking stone, cut bimetallic compensation balance with peripheral meantime and temperature adjustment screws, free-sprung blued steel helical balance spring with terminal curves, diamond endstone, jeweled to the third wheel with screwed chatons. Dial and movement signed.
