Steel gun-metal finished/pink gold open faced pocket watch
–
A fine Swiss gentleman’s quarter repeating pocket watch – so-called Trip Repeater, circa 1900.
This is a very particular watch. The repeater function is not activated by a slider in the case as usual but with a coaxial button in the winding crown. The movement has blued screws, polished hammers and is perfectly gilded it actually seems to glow in the dark metal frame!
Steel gun-metal finished/pink gold, polished case with a gold crown. White enamel dial with radial Arabic numerals, outer minutes track, subsidiary dial for the seconds, and Breguet hands. Divided 3/4 plate movement, two hammers / two gongs, and screw compensation balance.
