A rare Swiss silver gentleman’s pocket watch, Schweizerischer Bankverein 1872-1922 (Swiss association of banks 1872-1922)- with original box and certificate, circa 1922. This pocket watch features a niello silver case with a portrait of Helvetia on the back cover. The dome of the case is engraved with a dedication that reads: Der Schweizerische Bankverein an seine Mitarbeiter zur Erinnerung an sein fünfzigjähriges Jubiläum 1872 – 1922 (The Swiss Bank Association to its employees in commemoration of its 50th anniversary 1872 – 1922). The watch has a signed enamel dial with Arabic numerals, auxiliary seconds, an outer radial blue Arabic 24-hour indication, and blued Breguet hands. The movement is a 1/2 plate design with frosted and gilt finishing, a screw compensation balance, and a cam-type fine-adjusting device.
