A high complicated and high quality, heavy gold hunting cased repeater with Grande Sonnerie Carillon by Audemars Freres, watchmaker of the Russian Czar’s, circa 1900.
A 14 carat pink gold, à goutte hunting cased with three solid gold lids, dome signed and numbered, decorated with Russian czaristic eagle, inscribed “Horloger de Sa Majeste l’ Empereur de Russie”, glazed movement, very fine, signed precision lever movement with carillon quarter self striking with three hammers and repeating hours and quarters with carillon, peripheral lever for muting, original enamel dial with red minutes and red seconds, pink gold hands, very good sound, rarity.
