A fine Swiss, mahogany cased, 36 hour going, keyless, marine lever chronometer with power reserve indication, circa 1945. Retailed by A. Wittnauer Co., New York. A two tier mahogany box, gimballed and weighted brass case, threaded glazed bezel with a reeded edge. Matte silver dial, Arabic hour numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock with Arabic 10 second numerals, power reserve indication below 12. Blued steel spade and lozenge hands. A rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, patented cam type micrometre regulator. Dial, case and movement signed.
