Silver open faced lever pocket watch by Omega
–
A Swiss silver Art Nouveau floral decorated pocket watch, circa 1904. This watch features a mechanical manual winding lever movement. It has an enamel dial adorned with black painted Arabic and Roman numerals, blackened steel Stuart Pear hands, and a small seconds dial located at the 6 o’clock position. The round silver case is designed with a stylised bezel that includes floral decorations and a fluted crown. On the reverse side, there is a chased officer’s design, with the profile of the allegory of France, represented by the symbol of Marianne, topped by the French rooster. Both the case and dial are signed, although the engraver’s name is illegible.
