A center seconds pocket watch made for the Chinese market in Fleurier, Switzerland, circa 1850. This watch has an open faced numbered case crafted from silver, a cuvette marked Duplex and an engine turned back with an empty cartouche in the center. The white enamel dial has Roman hour numerals, an outer minute track, a center seconds hand and blued steel spade hands. The elaborately engraved Fleurier movement has a duplex escapement and is key wound.
