A rare Swiss observation watch with small seconds and central seconds chronograph, circa 1877.
Gilt 4/5 plate movement, pointed lever escapement, three-armed steel balance. Off-white enamel dial with Roman radial hours, small seconds and central seconds chronograph with a reading accuracy of 1/16 of a second thanks to the division of the circular second’s scale into two 0 to 16, and pear hands. Silver case, cartouche, slider for stop second, case maker punch mark SF.
