A Swiss silver keyless winding lever pocket watch made by International Watch Co., Schaffhausen, circa 1902. A patented water resistant silver case, made by Frères Borgel, Geneva. Case back polished; screwed insert for the movement. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds at 6, and blued steel Pear hands. A gilt brass movement, going barrel, gold screwed-chatons, straight line lever escapement, stamped “S & Co” (Stauffer & Co., London and La Chaux-de-Fonds), cut bimetallic compensated balance with gold poising screws and blued steel hairspring with terminal curve, polished steel index regulator. The dial, case and movement are signed.
