Staybrite steel open faced pocket watch

A rare and exceptionally fine staybrite steel Art Deco pocket watch made by Omega in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, circa 1934. The numbered case of this open faced watch was crafted from staybrite steel, and its two tone dial features Roman and baton hour markers, an outer minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and the original hands. The numbered movement is fitted with a lever escapement, 15 jewels and has Geneva striping decoration.
The dial and movement are signed.
