“Sidereal time” observatory and deck chronometer

An extremely rare “sidereal time” observatory and deck chronometer in original numbered mahogany transport box, made by Ulysse Nardin in le Locle, Switzerland, circa 1954. The numbered stationary open faced screwed case of this watch is crafted from steel and the box is fitted with a numbered electric contact device for seconds registration. The original white enamel dial has Roman hour numerals, a power reserve indicator at 12 o’clock, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and blued steel hands. The numbered movement is fitted with the original company plate and an Ulysse Nardin anker chronometer escapement.
Case, cuvette, movement and box have matching numbers and dial, movement and box are signed.
