A rare, thin Schaffhausen Art Deco gentleman’s pocket watch with gold enamel watch chain – delivered to Grogan Company, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, circa 1917.
18 carat gold case, glazed on both sides, lavishly engraved and partly enamelled case band. Signed silvered dial with Arabic “Art Deco” numerals, auxiliary seconds and blued distaff hands. Bridge movement, rhodium-plated, ground, with 19 jewels, screwed chatons, screw compensation balance and index spring fine adjusting device.
