A Swiss 14K yellow gold, minute repeating keyless hunting cased chronograph pocket watch, circa 1900. Made for the Chinese market by  J. Ullmann & Co., Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, with locations in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Tientsin and Wladiwostock. A case with engine-turned borders, a hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute and 1/5th second track with five-minute/seconds Arabic numerals calibrated to 300 units, subsidiary seconds dial and gold faceted stone set hands. Rhodium-plated movement, 19 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Dial, case signed.
