A very rare Louis XV gold watch with rock crystal case, made by J.L. Cresp in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, circa 1770. The open faced case of this watch was crafted from 18 carat gold and rock crystal and the white enamel dial has Arabic five minute numerals, Roman hour numerals and probably original hands. The movement has a verge escapement.
