A silver one handed neo renaissance style Augsburg pendant watch in the form of a crucifix, circa 1880. Cruciform brass full plate movement, chain and fusee, verge escapement, three arm brass balance. Silver dial elaborately engraved with the expulsion from Paradise, an applied brass chapter ring with Roman hours and a blued iron hand. A pierced and intricately engraved crucifix shaped case, the scene on the front shows the crucifixion of Christ with John and Mary and the one on the back depicts the resurrection of Christ with the retreating soldiers.
