Silver open faced pocket watch

A historically important silver open faced Glashütte chronograph, the so-called Chronoscop, made by Moritz Grossmann in Glashütte, circa 1880. The ¾ plate movement with a large gold screw compensation balance. White enamel dial with Arabic hour numerals, an outer minute track with fifth of a second divisions, a sunk center and blued spade hands. An engine turned case. Case numbered, dial signed, cuvette signed and engraved with the technical details.
