The well known American author Thomas De Fazio remarked about Meylan: “The work of Meylan from Le Brassus was far better than the average manufactured qualities. It was comparable to that produced by many excellent Swiss houses such as Vacheron & Constantin, Patek Philippe or Jules Jürgensen. In addition, Meylan was an excellent mechanic, as his patents and especially the many fine, complicated clocks prove.” In 1894, the company won first prize in the timekeeping competition at the Geneva Observatory.
