A complicated gold full hunter cased watch in exceptional size with chronograph and repeater, made circa 1900. This watch features an exceptionally large case with three gold lids, all crafted from 14 carat gold, a numbered cuvette inscribed with Répetition à Quarts, Cronographe and Systeme Breveté (patented system) and an engine turned back with a decorative engraved empty cartouche in the center. The white enamel dial has a chronograph scale, black Roman numerals for 1 to 12 o’clock, blue Arabic numerals for 13 to 24 o’clock, a subsidiary seconds dial and gold hands. The high quality finish and glazed movement features a precision lever escapement, a fine adjusting device, a chronograph and an hours and quarters repeater.
