Gold ladies’ pocket watch

A very fine and thin French 20 carat gold open faced pocket watch made by Breguet in Paris, circa 1828. Sold to Capitaine Baudon on November 18th, 1828, for the sum of FF 1225. The movement with a ruby cylinder escapement. Engine turned silver dial with black Roman hours and an outer dot minute track on brushed chapter rings, central engraved floral and foliage decoration, blued moon hands. An engine turned front bezel, the pendant and bow polished. Dial and cuvette signed, movement numbered. Comes with a later presentation box, an Extract from the Archives from 1993 and a winding key with gold chain.
