An English 18 carat gold hunting cased key wind pocket watch made by E.J. Dent in London, London Hallmarked for 1846. The gilt full plate movement with a duplex escapement, cut and compensated bimetallic balance, and diamond endstone. Gilt dial with Roman hour numerals, outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock, a foliate engraved center and blued steel hands. The engine turned hinged case with a monogram on the front. Movement signed and numbered, case numbered and stamped F.M., case and movement with matching numbers. Comes with an 18 carat gold watch chain and five keys.
